My Intermediate licence books arrived today. I never was much good at electrics and electronics. It all looks horribly like an O-level Physics text book, as I expected, which is why I’ve got the books before I commit to a course!

  1. @vanessa Hmmm, putting two and two together here, maybe to upgrade from your foundation to intermediate ham license? Do you have mainly VHF/UHF privileges now and intermediate will give you some access to HF? 73, Ron, W6AZ

  2. @Ron Correct. Luckily the Foundation grants HF access, which is why I did it. It’s a pretty good licence – just some band & power restrictions. The Intermediate ups power to 50W & allows me to use home-made equipment. I don’t really need it, just thought it might be nice to progress.
